Tampa Connection is excited to announce its nonprofit projects for the 2017-2018 class! A commitment to the philanthropic community in Tampa Bay is one of the most important tenets of the Tampa Connection program. Tampa Connection is honored to partner with the following organizations for the 2017-2018 program.
STRAZ CENTER – PATEL CONSERVATORY
Since the doors to the Straz Center opened in 1987, arts education has been a part of its mission. Functioning under the auspices of the Education Department, the Patel Conservatory strives to make the finest performing arts training available to everyone. This year the Tampa Connection class will create an informational and promotional video to enlighten and inspire views of the Straz Center’s on and offsite educational initiatives. The video will have objectives and goals, and will accurately relay the scope and reach of Straz Centers Educational initiatives.
The Brandon Foundation connects families in our community affected by a life threatening disease or catastrophic events with businesses and individuals that can meet practical needs as a donation or at a reduced cost. Brandon Foundation’s project is to create a marketing plan. This would include creating a promotional video that can be used to tell their story, as well as a newsletter and marketing materials that outlines the work of the Foundation.
HILLSBOROUGH EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The Hillsborough Education Foundation is invested in the success of over 200,000 students in Hillsborough County Public Schools by providing educational resources and financial assistance to help give every student the opportunity to achieve personal success. Hillsborough Education Foundation is in need of new volunteer recruitment materials and brochures. They also will need a communication strategy and resources that use multiple media channels including a monthly newsletter.
HISPANIC SERVICES COUNCIL
Hispanic Services Council is a community-based organization working to improve the quality of life of all of Hillsborough County. This years class will be developing a business plan outlining a growth strategy for Hispanic Services Council’s immigration legal services program. This is HSC’s only program that is primarily funded by fee revenue, the business plan should ideally focus on growth and sustainability by expanding the capacity to service clients, increase visibility in the community, and diversify its funding sources.
MACONALD TRAINING CENTER
MacDonald Training Center empowers people with disabilities to lead the lives they choose. Tampa Connection will be working with MTC to develop a multi-level marketing campaign, allowing them to reach potential candidates for a new employment program and prepare materials for potential employers. The ideal marketing campaign would include direct mail materials, social media campaign, and a video.
