The Tampa Connection Board and Alumni Committee joined forces on Tuesday evening, February 21, 2017, to host an amazing Spring Event and Recruitment Mixer!! The event was held at the Tampa Firefighters Museum in downtown Tampa, where close to 100 Tampa Connection alumni, class, and recruits networked and socialized while touring the museum, speaking to the museum’s Board members, and enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvre’s from Amici’s Catering. After catching up with old friends and making new ones, Jane Castor spoke to the guests about her career in law enforcement and her recent role as Tampa’s Chief of Police. Jane Castor provided an entertaining and thoughtful discussion about the importance of being Tampa’s first female Chief of Police and the lessons she learned in law enforcement in general. The guests were also advised about the importance of getting involved in one’s community and giving back to the community where you live. We are so grateful that Jane Castor took the time to present to us and impart us with some of her wisdom. We hope to see you all at the next event!
An Excellent Spring Event
